Bank of the West Hires Vice President, SBA Business Developmen​t Officer

Hayes will Lead Small Business Lending Efforts in the East Bay

OAKLAND, Calif. – July 22, 2014 – Bank of the West announced today that Cheryl Hayes has joined the company as vice president, SBA business development officer. In this role, Hayes is responsible for providing SBA 504 and 7(a) loans to small- and medium-sized business clients in the East Bay and surrounding areas.

Hayes is a 20-year financial services veteran who has spent most of her career with GE Capital in various roles. The past 11 years of her career have been devoted to Commercial Real Estate Financing and SBA Lending, most recently serving as vice president, business development officer for California Bank and Trust.

Hayes holds an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a BS degree in Economics from Purdue University.
