HOK is pleased to announce that Brian Jencek has joined the San Francisco studio as Director of Design for Planning & Landscape Architecture. Brian’s experience encompasses numerous award-winning projects nationally and abroad, including the 2012 London Olympics, Stanford University Science and Engineering Campus, ExxonMobil Office Campus in Houston, and large-scale city plans in Panama, Brazil, China, and India. In his new role at HOK, he will be involved with several planning and landscape projects, including Salt Lake City International Airport, Kilroy Mission Bay Development, and Ghirardelli Square Master Plan.
Educated as a Landscape Architect and Architect at Cornell University, Brian is active professionally with the ASLA, ULI, SPUR, and the Clinton Climate Initiative, as well as teaches graduate level design studios on topics of climate change and resiliency at UC Berkeley. Prior to joining HOK, Brian served as the Management and Design Principal of Hargreaves Associates in their New York and San Francisco offices. In his free time, Brian enjoys running with his wife, Jessica, and spending time with their daughter, Ava.
