WALNUT CREEK, CA – October 13, 2014 – Cassidy Turley, a leading commercial real estate services provider in the U.S., is pleased to announce that Brooks Pedder, SIOR has joined the firm as Senior Managing Director in Walnut Creek.
In his new leadership role, Mr. Pedder will be assuming sales managing duties and responsibilities. In addition, local market service professionals Tony Binswanger and Bo Harkins have joined the firm’s Walnut Creek office as a Senior Vice President and Associate, respectively. All three professionals specialize in office and industrial properties within Contra Costa, Solano and Napa counties.

Mr. Pedder began his real estate career in 1985 with Norris, Beggs & Simpson specializing in industrial and office property in Solano County and Contra Costa County. He joined the Galbreath Company’s East Bay/North Bay Region in 1994 where he consistently ranked within the top three in California in total production. He most recently worked at Colliers International, where he served at the managerial level and as a broker since 1997. In his almost 30 year career, Mr. Pedder has leased or sold in excess of 45 million square feet.
After helping manage a 10 million square foot commercial property portfolio at Garaventa Properties early in his career, Mr. Binswanger joined Colliers International in early 2009. There, he came to represent over 2 million square feet of commercial properties in just his first six months. His project leasing business grew to more than 6 million square feet of commercial properties, in addition to his involvement in approximately 3.5 million square feet of leasing/sales transactions. Mr. Harkins is in his early years in the business, and he does a lot of work in collaboration with Mr. Binswanger.

Cassidy Turley announced in a press release on September 22 that it has entered into an agreement with an affiliate of DTZ Investment Holdings, backed by TPG, PAG Asia Capital and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (the Consortium that agreed to acquire DTZ), to sell 100% of the equity interests of Cassidy Turley. The agreement is subject to customary closing conditions and is dependent on Cassidy Turley’s combination with the operations of DTZ Group (DTZ) to create a global, full-service commercial real estate services company. The Consortium’s acquisition of DTZ is currently scheduled to close in early November 2014. The acquisition of Cassidy Turley is expected to close on December 31, 2014.
