Over 9,000 square feet of new “medtail” and other mixed-use retail leased mid pandemic
CONCORD, CA – (April 12, 2021) – With four new tenants joining the mix this spring, The Veranda continues to thrive, innovate, and move forward as we reemerge in a post pandemic era. The Veranda is a newly reimagined mixed-use retail center with open-air shopping, dining, gourmet grocery, and other contemporary experiences. Over 9,000 square feet of new mixed-use retail has been leased already this year, putting the center at about a 98 percent occupancy rate. Most of the newest tenants fall into the growing “medtail” sector where health care and retail are colliding.
“The Veranda unites our surrounding community with great eats, good shopping, and prime services, paired with popular events like local concerts and yoga sessions (many of which adapted to ‘Phygital’ this year). We continue to operate at near leasing capacity attracting a top-of-the-line tenant mix to serve the East Bay area,” said Izamar Hook, General Manager at The Veranda.
