Commercial real estate association elects Molly Jans of Paradigm General Contractors as President
San Francisco, Calif. (Jan. 7, 2019) – CREW SF (Commercial Real Estate Women, San Francisco chapter), a professional organization dedicated to advancing women as leaders in the commercial real estate industry, announces the election of a new board of directors to lead over the coming year. Molly Jans, Director of Operations with Paradigm General Contractors, succeeds Stacie Goeddel, partner at Holland & Knight, as president for 2019. With a membership base of more than 230 Bay Area real estate professionals, CREW SF is part of the CREW Network, one of the strongest commercial real estate organizations in North America.
“Gender diversity is an issue that reverberates through many industries, and commercial real estate is no exception,” said Jans. “Now more than ever, women are using their voices, and through CREW’s research and studies, we have tangible evidence that companies with diverse upper management outperform homogeneous companies in return on investment and carry less debt. I’m proud to serve alongside the exceptional members of the board to be a catalyst of what can only mean a brighter, more inclusive future for women in all stages of their careers.”
A 14-year veteran of CREW SF, Jans has served on several committees within the organization. She has worked diligently to elevate the chapter’s offerings through programs, tours and seminars of the highest quality, while strengthening participation in cross-generational networking and mentoring among women in various segments of commercial real estate. In her presidential capacity, Jans is focused on continuing to cultivate opportunities for professional leadership development, further business networking and to advance women as leaders in commercial real estate.
In her role with Paradigm, a 100-percent woman owned small business, Jans oversees the construction process by developing and managing business operations and shaping the culture of the organization. On a regular basis, she interacts with owners, architects, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure exceptional results from project inception through completion. Jans earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Certificate in Construction Management from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to her involvement with CREW SF, she holds the International Underwater Spearfishing Association – Women’s World Record for Lingcod.
