Cushman & Wakefield Adds Veteran Office Brokerage Team in San Francisco: Jim Sobel & Brendon Kane as Managing Directors

Duo bring decades of experience and successful leasing and sales transaction history in City’s central business district 

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., August 27, 2021 – Cushman & Wakefield has added an elite office brokerage team with the hiring of Jim Sobel and Brendon Kane as Managing Directors in San Francisco. The duo will specialize primarily in Landlord Representation, along with Tenant Representation and Investment Sales.

Sobel and Kane join Cushman & Wakefield’s offices in San Francisco from Colliers International.

Sobel spent the previous 27 years with Colliers, where he began his career in 1996. He has completed in excess of $800 million in commercial lease transactions and has been involved in both the sale and acquisition of numerous office properties totaling more than 3 million square feet. At Colliers, he specialized in the leasing and repositioning of Downtown Financial District spaces in both Class B and boutique Class A office buildings. His Tenant Representation experience ranges from working with startup tech firms to established industry leaders. He was also the recipient of numerous awards at Colliers, including Awards of Excellence and Top Sales Performance. Prior, Sobel worked as a leasing and investment specialist with Knowlton Realty, Ltd for a decade. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Urban Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Kane spent the previous 11 years with Colliers working alongside Sobel and where he began his career in real estate in 2010. During this period, Kane received early recognition as Colliers’ Rookie of The Year and completed more than 500 leases totaling over 3 million square feet, with a focus on representing landlords in San Francisco’s central business district. Prior, he started his professional career with a fortune 500 healthcare company. Kane is a Bay Area native and received a BA in Economics from UCLA.
