San Diego, Calif.; Aug. 7, 2019: DAHLIN Group Architecture Planning (DAHLIN), a full-service architecture and planning firm, is pleased to announce the additions of Interior Designer Carol Cole and Project Manager Clarke Forrest to the team. Cole’s role as an interior designer is one that is new to the firm and a differentiator for DAHLIN. Her addition elevates the firm’s interior design offerings across several key sectors in the healthcare, senior living, commercial and civic arenas. Forrest adds depth to the team supporting K-12 and higher education projects. Both are based in the firm’s San Diego office and will service clients across all the offices.

Cole, touting more than 25 years of extensive experience in design, project management and procurement, applies her expertise to connect both exterior and interior spaces. Supported by a background in architecture and proficiency with software solutions, such as AutoCAD and Revit, she applies a unique and holistic approach to design, looking beyond colors and materials to ensure the overall purpose and flow of space to exceed client expectations and goals.
Cole’s diverse project experience spans across various industries and includes work on several high-profile facilities, including Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Center, Shellpoint Retirement Community and the Pelican Marsh Clubhouse. Cole is certified by the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California, a Certificate of Interior Design from the University of California, Los Angeles Extension and a Master of Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture.
With a keen focus on developing quality higher educational facilities, Forrest comes to DAHLIN as an experienced designer skilled in all facets of design, sketch and digital drafting with advance software solutions. With more than a decade of practice, Forrest is adept in working with internal and external teams to usher projects through all phases. Beyond educational work, Forrest’s design capabilities expand into the mixed-use, medical, military and zoological arenas. His distinguished accomplishments include projects for The School for Adaptive Education, California State University, San Marcos and Mesa College. Forrest earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Master of Architecture degree from NewSchool of Architecture & Design.
