Belmont Mayor Eric Reed Attended Alongside Several City Officials
Belmont, CA – July 14, 2016 – Regis Homes Bay Area (RHBA), an affiliate of Sares Regis Group of Northern California, celebrated yesterday the groundbreaking of the Davey Glen luxury community, with a ceremony held at the site on El Camino Real. In addition to representatives from the San Mateo-based real estate developer, several Belmont city officials were in attendance, including Mayor Eric Reed, who spoke at the event before accepting a ceremonial sledgehammer from RHBA to symbolize the demolition of the obsolete office building and retail store on the site.
“We’re excited to break ground on the Davey Glen project, and enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate the event with our partners,” said Jeff Smith, Senior vice President, Residential Development at RHBA. “The Belmont community wants a vibrant Grand Boulevard, and we believe this new community will be an important first step.”
Located on a 1.83-acre site in Belmont, the proposed development will consist of 73 units in four stories over parking and include 4,909 square feet of retail space. Plans call for completion in late 2018. Regis Contractors Bay Area, RHBA’s construction arm, will be building the project.
Designed by architectural firm, Dahlin Group, the Davey Glen community includes clean contemporary lines while using traditional materials including stucco, wood siding and metal elements, as well as a very strong color palette.
