David Gray Joins IFMA-Silicon Valley Board of Directors

Colliers International Senior Vice President Appointed as Director at Large

Redwood City, California – April 13, 2012 – International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Silicon Valley Chapter has recently appointed David Gray, senior vice president with Colliers International’s Redwood City office, to its board of directors as director at large. IFMA Silicon Valley Chapter was founded in 1991 currently has 700 members. Gray is an original charter member of the organization. IFMA is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the informational and educational needs of facility management executives and their staffs. With more than 20,000 members and 127 chapters, 16 councils in 78 countries worldwide, IFMA promotes efficient, effective, safe and humane workplaces. The organization as a whole was founded in 1980.

David Gray, a broker with over 26 years of experience, represents Silicon Valley tenants in both acquisitions and dispositions of Office and R&D facilities in the Bay Area and abroad. He is a 2011 recipient of the Colliers International Everest Award, placing him in the top 5% globally. During his career, Dave has negotiated over 350 lease and sales transactions totaling nearly 10,000,000 square feet. Contributing to this significant volume of transactions has been the disposition and expansion of real estate assets for Coherent, GE, GN Great Nordic (Denmark), Quantum, Savi Technologies, Selectica, and many emerging growth companies.

Gray will be moderating the Chapter’s next meeting on April 25th entitled FM owns the Real Estate Process located at Hewlett Packard’s 950 W. Maude Avenue address in Sunnyvale. Panelists for the evening will include Jim Kelley, Advisor on REFM Options, Strategies and Implementation, Kit Tuveson, President of Tuveson & Associates and Michael Welliver, Senior Director, Real Estate & Facilities at Symantec. The panel will address the responsibility of the C-suite to empower Facilities Management to run the commercial real estate process.
