Showplace ICON Theatre Joining Westfield Valley Fair, First Location in West U.S.
Kerasotes Showplace Theatres, dba ShowPlace Icon Theatre has leased 62,228 square feet of space for a brand new modern, upscale movie theatre at the popular Westfield Valley Fair Mall in west San Jose, CA. ShowPlace ICON is a fairly new concept from the Kerasotes family, a Chicago-based theatre operator with over 100 years of experience. This will be the first ShowPlace ICON theatre in the western U.S., with only two other locations currently in Chicago and St. Louis Park, MN. The theatre will be part of the new expansion of the Westfield-owned mall and is anticipated to open in early 2017. Gold’s Gym Opening New Coastal Location at Del Monte Shopping Center, Monterey, CA
Gold’s Gym has leased 17,700 square feet of end cap space for a new health club location along the central coast in Monterey, CA at the Del Monte Shopping Center. Owned by Balboa Retail Partners, LLC, Del Monte is well located off California State Route 1 / 68 off of Munras Avenue and is anchored by Century Theatres, Macy’s and a Whole Foods Market and features several other popular retailers. Gold’s is expected to open its new coastal location sometime this summer. Tuesday Morning Joining Main Retail Corridor in Santa Rosa, CA
Tuesday Morning, an upscale, deep discount, off-price retailer, has completed a lease with landlord Cornerstone Properties for an 18,555 square foot freestanding retail building in Santa Rosa, CA. Located at 2720 Santa Rosa Avenue, Tuesday Morning’s new North Bay store is anticipated to open by early summer. The property, formerly an Office Max, is well positioned in the heart of Santa Rosa’s retail corridor and is adjacent to Pier 1 Imports and across from several other major retailers. Woodland Crossroads Ratchets Up Occupancy with Harbor Freight Tools
Harbor Freight Tools USA, Inc. has leased 19,228 square feet of junior anchor space at Woodland Crossroads shopping center in Woodland, CA. Located at E. Main Street and Matmor Road, Woodland Crossroads is a newly remodeled project on the city’s major commercial corridor, and features retailers such as Grocery Outlet, Tractor Supply Co., Ross Dress for Less and Party City. Starbucks Adding Eight New Coffee Houses Across Northern California
Starbucks has signed leases for the opening of eight new full service coffee houses located throughout various regions of Northern California. Starbucks leased 2,022 square feet at Capitol Expressway and Berryessa Road in east San Jose—owned by Sywest Development; 2,200 square feet at Santa Teresa Village in south San Jose—owned by ROIC California, LLC; 1,955 square feet at the Pastime Plaza shopping center in Pleasanton—owned by SLP Properties, II; 1,800 square feet at the Pleasant Hill Shopping Center in Pleasant Hill—owned by Regency Centers; 1,885 square feet at Pinole Gateway shopping center—owned by Thomas Gateway, LLC; 1,820 square feet at Oceana Boulevard and Manor Drive in Pacifica—owned by Brentwood Holding Company, LLC; 2,000 square feet at 110 Frances Lane in Orland—owned by Valley Star Partners; and 2,000 square feet at the North Valley Mall in Chico—owned by North Valley Mall II, LLC (relocation). The new Alameda Landing shopping center in Alameda, CA has closed three new leases with Shirasoni Japanese Restaurant, Orange Theory Fitness, and Sally Beauty. Shirasoni, an authentic sushi teppenyaki and sushi concept, leased 6,400 square feet of end cap space; Orange Theory Fitness leased 3,300 square feet of end cap space; and Sally Beauty leased 1,500 square feet of inline space. Owned by Catellus Alameda Development, LLC, the Target and Safeway-anchored Alameda Landing is a mixed-use retail/commercial center located at the NWC of Webster and Stargell Avenue, at the base of the Webster Tube entrance to the City of Alameda. The Futon Shop has leased 8,431 square feet of space for a new store at Central Park in downtown San Mateo, CA. Owned by The Tan Group, Central Park is located along W. 4th Avenue at El Camino Real and features a mix of retailers, including Equinox, Starbucks, Jamba Juice and Noah’s Bagels. The Futon Shop is a vertically integrated retailer that manufacturers over 33 organic and green futon mattresses from start to finish. Laser Quest Bringing Entertainment to Gould Shopping Center, San Jose, CA
Laser Quest has leased 12,000 square feet at Gould Plaza shopping center in San Jose, CA. Gould Plaza is located at Capitol Expressway and McLaughlin Avenue and is anchored by Lion Supermarket, Rite-Aid and a new Bay Area Ripped Fitness. The center is owned by H.K.N. IV, LLC. S&G Discount Outlet Opening Location in Pleasant Hill, CA
S&G Discount Outlet has leased 5,976 square feet of space at 571 Contra Costa Boulevard in Pleasant Hill, CA. The company’s new outlet store is part of a two-tenant building, also featuring Sleep Train. Owned by TEMK Investments Contra Costa LLC, the building is located just off California State Route 680, across from Target. Panchero’s Mexican Grill Opening Up Two More SF Bay Area Locations
Panchero’s Mexican Grill has closed on a pair of lease transactions for two more new restaurant locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Panchero’s, a quick-serve, fresh Mexican franchise, leased 2,234 square feet at The Orchards at Walnut Creek—owned by Shadelands Park, LLC, and 2,086 square feet at Cupertino Village shopping center—owned by Cupertino Village, LP. The restaurants are expected to open by early 2016 and will mark the second and third openings for Panchero in the region. Anchored by Safeway and Staples, Washington Square is a prominent community shopping center located at 227 S. McDowell Boulevard and owned by Fulcrum Property.
