EKN Walks Away From Entitled 56-Room Downtown Petaluma Hotel, Leaving City to Chase $860,000 in Costs

Newport Beach-based EKN Development has told the City of Petaluma it will not build the four-story, 56-room Appellation hotel it spent roughly four years entitling at 2 Petaluma Boulevard South, and the city has moved to recover about $860,000 in review costs through a lien on the property.
