Eleven Bay Professionals Earn Statewide Certification from the CACM

SAN FRANCISCO – Eleven community association management professionals from the Bay Area received statewide certification from the California Association of Community Managers (CACM) during the third quarter of 2015.

Earning the designation of Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM®) were Kristin Amarillas with Associa Northern California; Edna Nado and Tracie Sweetman with Associa Northern California in Concord; Stacey Anderson with E.E.N. Property Management Inc. in Antioch; Demetrius Collier with Lakeside Regency Plaza in Oakland; Menalyn Cornejo with MRM Co. in San Francisco; Mehjabeen Khan and Danielle Torres with CitiScape Property Management Group LLC in San Francisco; Lawrence Mellberg with Bay Area Property Services in Walnut Creek; Danyelle Morgado with Independent Planning Management Co. in Walnut Creek; and Patricia Orlando with Chandler Properties in San Francisco.

“As HOA management in California continues to grow in complexity with new legislation in effect almost every year, certification for managers who focus strictly on communities in California has never been more critical,” said David Zepponi, president and CEO of CACM. “Professionals who have earned the Certified Community Association Manager designation have completed nearly 40 hours of class training approved by the California Department of Real Estate, including 16 hours specializing in California law. They are also required to stay current with mandatory re-certification every three years.”

Based in Laguna Hills, Calif., CACM is the only community association management organization in the nation to offer a California-only educational program leading to the designations of Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM®) and Master of Community Association Management (MCAM®) for industry professionals. CACM’s membership is comprised of nearly 3,000 California-based professionals from the community association management industry. California is home to more than 50,200 associations.
