ULI SF: Building Healthy Places Book Club: The Address Book

October 1, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm PDT

ULI’s Building Healthy Places Book Club is designed to spark thought and conversation around health, social equity, and real estate. Our next title is The Address Book: What Street Addresses Reveal About Identity, Race, Wealth, and Power. Author Deirdre Mask takes readers on a global journey through the complex and often hidden stories behind street names and their power to name, to hide, and to decide who counts and who doesn’t—and why.”

Participation is free and requires registration. All registered participants receive a suggested reading schedule, along with a link to attend virtual meetups to discuss the book:

September 3, 2020: The Address Book Kick Off (no need to read the book prior to this kick-off session)
September 17, 2020: Mid-Book Discussion Groups
October 1, 2020: Talk with Author Deirdre Mask

Virtual meetups take place on Zoom and run from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm EDT. Invitations to join an optional Slack discussion group will be distributed following the September 3 kickoff. Members and non-members may register to participate throughout the reading period running through October 1, 2020.
