ULI SF: Yerba Buena Island – San Francisco’s Newest District
July 29 @ 12:00 pm
Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island sit in the heart of San Francisco Bay– rising on the site of a former naval station. A sustainable, forward-thinking metropolis, this exciting new San Francisco community will be comprised of two distinct and vibrant neighborhoods with up to 8,000 homes (single family townhomes to mid-rise and high-rise towers, including 27% designated as affordable housing), three hotels, mixed-use space for retail and commercial ventures as well as vast stretches of public parks and open spaces laced with walking and bike trails.
In the first of a two part series, we’ll focus on Yerba Buena Island: an unprecedented residential community offering a contemporary San Francisco living experience with 360-degree views of the San Francisco skyline and surrounding Bay Area. Speakers from the development team, architect, and the local public agency (TIDA) will discuss the history of the project and the status of current and future construction as well as showcase the first vertical development, the Bristol, a 6 story condominium building nearing completion with emphasis on design considerations, buyer trends, and the future of urban living. Don’t miss out!
