FivePoint launched construction on its long-stalled Candlestick Point development on Wednesday, breaking ground on a roughly 270-acre plan to convert the former stadium site into a bayfront neighborhood of 7,200 homes, millions of square feet of workspace and about 100 acres of new parkland.
