Grubb & Ellis Professional Mark Hinkins Named Treasurer of CCIM’s Northern California Chapter

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (Jan. 5, 2012) – Grubb & Ellis Company (NYSE: GBE), a leading real estate services and investment firm, today announced that Mark Hinkins, CCIM, senior associate, Private Capital Markets, has been named treasurer of the Northern California Chapter of the CCIM Institute for 2012. He also will serve as chair of the chapter’s Commercial Agents Committee.

Hinkins specializes in representing private capital investors in the acquisition and disposition of office and retail buildings located in the San Francisco East Bay and North Bay. Since joining Grubb & Ellis in 2001, clients he has represented have included Black Equities Group, Oliver & Company, Balbo Funds, Panattoni Development Co, Trumark Properties, Citibank N.A. and Far East National Bank.

The CCIM Institute is a global leader in commercial and investment real estate education services. Hinkins was sworn in as treasurer at the chapter’s 40th Anniversary celebration.

In addition to the CCIM designation, Hinkins holds a bachelor’s degree from De Montfort University and is a former board member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors USA, where he is a RICS Fellow, the highest honor bestowed by the organization.
