Compass Agents Alain-Martin Pierret and Johnny Drake Broker Sale of 25 North — former home of SHED
(EDITOR’S NOTE: According to sources with knowledge of the details of the transaction, the property sold for $8 million.)
25 North Street, an award-winning two-story, 10,802 square foot architectural jewel-box located in downtown Healdsburg, California has found a new owner. Represented by Healdsburg Compass agents, Alain-Martin Pierret and Johnny Drake, the new owner has purchased the former home of the beloved restaurant and gourmet food and lifestyle emporium, SHED. The property was listed by Colliers International.
Brilliantly envisioned by owners Cindy Daniel and Doug Lipton, 25 North’s SHED became a downtown icon in Healdsburg, a delightful “modern grange” and acclaimed local restaurant and marketplace. The property was built in 2013 and became the recipient of many notable awards including the 2014 James Beard Outstanding Restaurant Design Award, the 2015 Chicago Athenaeum American Architecture Award, and the 2015 AIA San Francisco Merit Award. It is currently unoccupied after SHED’s closing in 2018.
According to Compass’s Alain Pierret, the new owner is a resident of the Healdsburg region. “The new concept, called ‘Little Saint,’ is an evolution of SHED’s legacy,” says Pierret. “It will be an extension of Saint Joseph’s Arts Foundation, a non-profit organization based in San Francisco with an exceptional commitment for the greater good of Healdsburg.”
“The community here and beyond will be pleased to learn that this anchor of downtown Healdsburg’s shopping and dining scene, will be taking on a new life,” says Compass agent, Johnny Drake. “The farm-to-table concept organically resonates with the locals. When you are surrounded by the award-winning architecture, you feel as if you are in a rarefied space filled with palate-pleasing opportunities.”
