15+ year industry expert will expand HGA’s San Jose practice

“Lillian’s design experience with companies such as Apple, VMWare, Intuit and Google complements HGA’s overarching vision for the corporate interiors practice in the Bay Area,” said Win Roney, vice president and principal of HGA. “She also understands the importance of providing excellent client satisfaction and designing for different corporate cultures, and brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to our growing interiors practice.”

Further to HGA’s acquisition of ReelGrobman & Associates earlier this year, which expanded HGA’s range of services to include interior design, Chung’s creative talent and professional experience is an integral addition to HGA’s San Jose team as the office expands and evolves its core practice of corporate interiors.

“In order to understand interior design, you must understand human nature – this is crucial for spatial planning,” said Chung. “Today, this type of design takes on a multi-dimensional aspect that encompasses corporate culture, technology and function. HGA as a culture embraces this type of change and I’m looking forward to driving the design concepts forward for our clients.”

Chung brings to HGA more than 15 years of interior design and workplace strategy expertise for commercial, institutional and residential properties. Past positions include director of design at David Whitney Architecture and senior interior designer at Gensler where she was the lead designer on a variety of award winning Silicon Valley corporate projects.

Chung earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology, during which she studied abroad at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany and Universitè de Tolbiac, in Paris, France. She is also an active member of CREW Silicon Valley as the elected co-chair of the CREW communications committee.
