HOK Names Anton Foss Managing Principal in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO — HOK announced today that Anton Foss, AIA, is the new managing principal in the firm’s San Francisco office. Foss, a senior vice president, was previously a regional leader of the Sports + Recreation + Entertainment practice in San Francisco. He joined HOK in January when the firm acquired 360 Architecture.

Foss brings nearly 30 years of strategic planning, design and management experience to HOK’s leadership team in San Francisco. He has led a diverse portfolio of sports, recreation, entertainment, corporate, healthcare, education, mixed-use and residential projects. Highlights include his leadership role for the effort to develop a new baseball stadium for MLB’s Oakland A’s; Avaya Stadium for the MLS Earthquakes in San Jose, Calif.; several office, retail and residential projects in the Nationwide Arena District in Columbus, Ohio; MetLife Stadium for the NFL’s New York Giants and Jets in East Rutherford, N.J.; the renovation and expansion of the University of Washington’s Husky Stadium in Seattle; the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix; and the University of Portland Beauchamp Recreation & Wellness Center in Portland, Oregon.

Foss, a registered architect and member of the American Institute of Architects, has a Bachelor of Science in Design in Architecture degree from Arizona State University.
