Fematt to Foster Client Relations and DSA Approvals for BCA’s Innovative Designs

San Jose, CA – BCA Architects, a west coast architectural firm, announced that JuanCarlos Fematt has joined the team as a Job Captain in charge of quality assurance during design development phases all the way through to project closeouts. JuanCarlos will work closely with the project team and the client to oversee design and construction documents for structural and design concerns in order to ensure that these documents meet legal requirements and industry standards.

JC (2)JuanCarlos Fematt is currently focused on the Buena Park School District and its seven different campuses, where he is in control of the project scope and budgets for modernization of facilities. Working closely with the District, he is in charge of getting construction documents stamped and approved by the Division of the State Architect (DSA). He regularly meets with the contractors and client commissioners to coordinate the project schedule and manage the budget. JuanCarlos is also responsible for organizing and directing BCA’s architectural team to execute the work in an orderly, coordinated, and expedient manner.

“We are very excited to have JuanCarlos onboard with us here,” said Paul Bunton, AIA, president of BCA Architects. “He has already shown how capable he is of functioning comfortably within the firm, of gaining the trust and confidence of clients, and effectively collaborating with consultants, contractors, and the designers and architects here at BCA.”

JuanCarlos has worked in the educational sector for three years now, where he developed his ability to function in all phases of project development, and is very familiar with DSA processing and standards. He graduated with a B.A. in Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has garnered six years of experience in design using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
