Prominent Retailers Lease Space on the South End of Popular Retail District; New Additions Set to Open Spring 2017
SAN FRANCISCO, (December 15, 2016) – Jamestown, LP, a leading national real estate investment and management firm, is pleased to announce that Fourth Street, a 53,328-square-foot urban shopping and dining destination in Berkeley, California, is adding 22,500 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space, set to open spring 2017.
The East Bay shopping destination has signed notable retailers including Madewell, makers of women’s clothing; Marine Layer, a San Francisco-based premium casual apparel retailer; Stella Carakasi, a Berkeley-based designer offering designs for women of all silhouettes; and dining option Lemonade, a health-minded Californian fast casual restaurant. The new tenants sit adjacent to the historic Spenger’s Fish Grotto restaurant, Anthropologie and Paper Source, located on the south end of the Fourth Street Berkeley shopping district.
The Fourth Street development offers prime retail and office space within a nationally recognized and heavily sought-after shopping district that draws visitors from across the Bay Area and beyond. The 22,500-square-foot expansion features multiple retail options ranging in size from 600 to 5,700 square feet along Fourth Street and Hearst Avenue, over 12,000 square-feet of flexible design office space, an active paseo walkway and 100 public parking spaces. The new construction office space is available for tenant improvements early 2017, with move in by spring.
