Jamie Saunders Joins Cresa SF as Managing Principal

SAN FRANCISCO — Jamie Saunders, formerly Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle in San Francisco, has joined Cresa San Francisco as a Managing Principal. Saunders, with 11 years of commercial real estate experience, will head the firm’s Downtown Market Group and work with Cresa’s other Marketing Principals, Craig Zodikoff in Cresa San Francisco and Matthew Elmquist and Scott Stone in Cresa’s affiliated office in the East Bay, which recently moved to Emeryville.

JSaunders Headshot prSaunders will focus on business development and staff recruitment to support the growth of Cresa in the Bay Area, where it is the largest corporate real estate advisory firm specializing in tenant representation.

A top producer at JLL, he started there as a Sales Associate in 2006 (for The Staubach Company, before it was acquired by JLL). He was promoted to Leasing Director and then Vice President. Also at JLL, Saunders was one of the founders of the Technology/High Growth Practice Group, working with Bay Area-based venture-backed companies.

Prior to JLL, Saunders served as a Sales Associate for NAI BT Commercial in San Francisco, where he was one of the founders of its Tenant Solutions Group.

“Jamie is an exceptional fit for Cresa and our business model,” said Zodikoff. “He has specialized in tenant representation throughout his career, he is highly experienced in strategic planning, and he has extensive knowledge of San Francisco’s Financial and South of Market districts. He is also very well connected with our area’s growing technology industry as well as the professional services sector, and we are confident that this will translate to significant growth for Cresa.”

“I think Cresa is a perfect place for me,” said Saunders. “I look forward to contributing to the outstanding team that is already in place, including the partners and brokers who work closely with the professionals in project management and strategic planning to provide integrated corporate services. This is an exciting time for real estate in the Bay Area, and there are great opportunities for Cresa to further its leadership in tenant representation.”

Saunders, a resident of Piedmont in the East Bay, received a B.A. from Hamilton College in New York. An avid runner, he has completed marathons in NYC and Boston.

Saunders serves on the board of CoachArt, which improves the quality of life for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses.
