Janice Yuen Promoted to CFO of Sares Regis Group of Northern California and Yayu Lin to President of Commercial Real Estate Services

SAN MATEO, Calif. (March 7, 2023) – San Mateo-based Sares Regis Group of Northern California (SRGNC) has made two key executive promotions and management changes, with a special nod to women in leadership, aimed to position the 30-year-old company for future growth.

Janice Yuen has been promoted to chief financial officer of SRGNC, and Yayu Lin has been promoted to president of the Commercial Real Estate Services (CRES) division.

“While much has changed since Sares Regis Group was founded in 1993, our commitment to elevating leaders who embody our core values, work ethic, discipline, and integrity remains,” said Mark Kroll, co-founder and managing partner of SRGNC. “We are proud to announce these promotions in key leadership roles at SRGNC.”

According to Kroll, Yuen played an integral role in the management and growth of the CRES division during her tenure while overseeing commercial real estate, hospitality, housing, senior housing, and public projects.

“For someone with only a 15-year-long career, Janice’s list of accomplishments reads as if it belongs to a longtime industry veteran,” Kroll added. “She has been a rising star since she joined the company in 2012. She was most recently COO of the CRES divisions. Janice has managed projects totaling more than 2.5 million square feet and has a robust finance background. Her ascendency to CFO will be no surprise to those working with her and marveling at her accomplishments.”

Yuen is also well respected by her clients and peers in the commercial real estate industry and was awarded the “Women of Influence Rising Star Award” by the San Francisco Business Times in 2016. Before receiving her MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business with an emphasis on real estate development, she worked on $3 billion worth of deals at Lehman Brothers Holdings through the Great Recession.

Lin

Lin, promoted to the president of the CRES division, joins Yuen as one of SRGNC’s women in leadership. Since joining the company in 2005, Lin has managed commercial and residential development and construction projects for its clients, leading teams and projects through due diligence, entitlement, and design to financing and construction. Lin is responsible for the Commercial division’s strategy, management, and operations. She oversees more than $6 billion of highly innovative and complex ground-up office and infrastructure development projects for confidential clients in the Bay Area. Lin collaborates with some of the world’s most innovative thought leaders and progressive sustainability experts to deliver built environments that meet the dynamic needs of future generations while also advancing and revolutionizing the industry. Notably, she was the lead development manager for the Google Bay View campus, which was awarded Engineering News Records’ “Global Best Project” in 2022.

Lin has been a trusted partner for her clients and is highly respected in the industry for her leadership and efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Lin was recently honored as a “Woman of Influence” by the Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2022, an honoree of Bisnow’s “2022 Women Leading Real Estate,” and “Bay Area Power Woman” by Bisnow in 2021

“As Asian-American women, Yuen and Lin have prioritized diversity when hiring at SRGNC and are excited to celebrate Women’s History Month in March” added Kroll. “Both Yuen and Lin have excelled at Sares Regis Group, as well as within the industry, successfully balancing careers and raising families. They each have two daughters in elementary and pre-school and have set a great example at home and work. We are proud to have them lead our organization in the future.”
