Jennifer Correia, AIC, Rejoins ARG Conservation Services As Associate Principal

Berkeley, CA — Jennifer Correia, AIC, has rejoined ARG Conservation Services (ARG/CS) as associate principal, announced David Wessel, AIC, FAPT. Specializing in the assessment and survey of historic building materials, designing and performing hands-on conservation treatments, and conservation planning for historic districts and collections, she has more than a dozen years of experience working as a preservation professional in both the public and private sectors.

She worked as a conservator and project manager at ARG/CS from 2012 to 2015, where she was responsible for completing several large-scale conservation projects, including Stanford University’s Memorial Church and San Francisco’s Coit Memorial Tower Murals. Most recently, she was a project manager for the San Francisco Arts Commission, where she planned and executed conservation projects for San Francisco’s extensive permanent civic art collection including the restoration and seismic upgrade of the ​McKinley Monument in Golden Gate Park. She also worked on a team to design a cost estimating tool to help the city with budget and conservation planning for the collection.

The vice president for the Western Chapter of Association for Preservation International (APTi), she is also a member of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, the California Preservation Foundation, and the Western Association for Art Conservation. She meets the Secretary of Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for architectural historians, historic preservationists, and conservators. She holds a master of science degree in historic preservation with an advanced certificate in architectural conservation from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Design, and she received a bachelor of science degree in management from Tulane University.
