Pleasanton, Calif. – Hacienda, Northern California’s largest mixed-use development, began 2026 with a solid 300,000 sf transaction, reflecting improved local market demand. While total occupancy dipped slightly to 6,562,064 square feet in February, the park continues to attract businesses from industries including business services, biomedical, manufacturing, and healthcare, reinforcing its role as a premier employment hub in the Bay Area.
To date, occupancy shows a dynamic market: smaller spaces under 10,000 square feet and mid-sized spaces between 10,000 and 50,000 square feet each accounted for 37.5% of transactions, while large spaces over 50,000 square feet, though fewer in number, captured nearly 78% of total leased square footage. While early in the year, this mix further affirms Hacienda’s ability to accommodate businesses of all sizes, from startups to large enterprises expanding their operations in the region.
“A key Hacienda strength lies in its diversity and flexibility—whether a company needs a small, agile office or a large operational footprint, we provide the spaces, infrastructure, and supportive community that help businesses grow and succeed,” said James Paxson, Hacienda’s General Manager. “We are proud to serve a wide range of industries, from startups to established enterprises, and our steady leasing activity reflects Hacienda’s role as a premier destination in the Bay Area. By combining strategic location, modern amenities, and a vibrant tenant community, we create an environment where companies can focus on innovation, expansion, and long-term success.”

Hacienda’s Hometown Receives National Recognition for Quality of Life
Pleasanton continues to earn national and statewide recognition for its high quality of life. In 2025, the U.S. Social Progress Map ranked the city second in the nation, highlighting its strong social and environmental performance. This follows earlier recognition as California’s cleanest city, reinforcing what many residents already experience firsthand: excellent schools, safe neighborhoods, well-maintained parks, and reliable infrastructure. City officials note that these accolades reflect years of coordinated effort and sustained investment rather than happenstance.
According to City Manager Gerry Beaudin, 2025 marked significant progress across economic development, public safety, infrastructure, and community engagement. Key accomplishments included the creation of a new Community and Economic Development Department to streamline planning and permitting, major capital improvements to roads, parks, water systems, and public facilities, and enhanced emergency preparedness through new training and technology. Looking ahead, 2026 will focus on advancing major initiatives outlined in the ONE Pleasanton Strategic Plan, with continued emphasis on transparency, fiscal discipline, infrastructure planning, and long-term sustainability—ensuring the city remains well-positioned to serve residents and businesses alike.
