Senior Executive Brings Extensive Experience in Land Acquisition and Entitlement
Landsea Homes Corporation (Nasdaq: LSEA) (“Landsea Homes” or the “Company”), a publicly traded residential homebuilder, announced today that real estate executive Mark Forster has joined the Company’s expanding Northern California team as Vice President of Land Acquisition.
“Mark brings a wealth of land acquisition and entitlement experience to our team, a true asset as our Northern California portfolio continues to grow,” said Josh Santos, President, Northern California Division of Landsea Homes. “He will be overseeing all land acquisition activities as we strategically plan to provide best-in-class homes to our local homebuyers.”
A veteran real estate executive with nearly two decades of experience, Forster has worked in the Northern California market for over 13 years. After serving as Vice President of Land Acquisition for Lafferty Communities, he worked in the same capacity for MLC Communities, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meritage Homes. Mr. Forster also served as the Head of Land and Entitlements for Better Place Forests, before working with Lakebridge Capital Advisors in San Francisco.
“I am excited and honored to join Landsea Homes’ Northern California development team,” said Mr. Forster. “By focusing on desirable locations, integrating thoughtful land planning and designing homes that meet the demands of today’s discerning buyers, we are dedicated to strategically growing our new home communities across the region. In developing and delivering best in class communities, the Landsea Homes team truly allows homebuyers to ‘Live in their Element’”.
Homebuyers have enjoyed the various new home offerings across the Northern California portfolio for Landsea Homes. The Ellis community in Tracy has sold more than 200 homes since opening for sale in July 2021 alone. Homes are currently selling at two other Landsea Homes Bay Area communities, including Lavender in Sunnyvale and Verandah at Valley Oaks in Novato. Construction has also begun on Alameda Marina, located along Alameda’s Northern Waterfront, and sales are expected to begin this year.
Landsea Homes was recently named the 2022 winner of the prestigious Builder of the Year award, presented by BUILDER magazine. Through consecutive strategic moves, the Newport Beach-based home builder saw a historical year of transformation after going public, exceeding $1 billion in revenue, acquiring Hanover Family Builders, expanding into the Texas and Florida markets and completing 1,640 closings. All of which culminated to earn Landsea Homes the 47th spot on the coveted Builder 100 list, along with the Builder of the Year honors.
