New Residential Projects May Signal Easing of San Francisco Inventory Crunch

The Mark Company to Handle Hundreds of New Condominiums at The San Francisco Shipyard, Arden, Amero, 8 Octavia, 870 Harrison and 35 Dolores

San Francisco – May 5, 2014 – A surge of new condominium projects in San Francisco may indicate an easing of the city’s inventory crunch, according to The Mark Company, a leading urban residential marketing and sales firm.

The Mark Company is handling multiple developments scheduled to come online this year, including The San Francisco Shipyard, Arden, Amero, 8 Octavia, 870 Harrison and 35 Dolores. These highly-anticipated projects will add much needed housing inventory, noted Alan P. Mark, Founder and President of The Mark Company.

“While the number of available condominiums in San Francisco has been low for some time, the influx of new construction will provide a boost to the market and help ease the overwhelming demand for residences in the city for both buyers and brokers,” Mark stated.

The Mark Company was appointed by developer Lennar Urban to oversee the residential branding, marketing and initial sales of The San Francisco Shipyard and Candlestick Point, a multibillion-dollar, 775-acre development located along nine miles of the San Francisco waterfront.  Sales are scheduled to launch in early summer.

Located at the shoreline of Mission Creek, Arden by Bosa in Mission Bay offers 267 architecturally inspired waterside high-rise homes set against a walkable, livable urban village. Sales are scheduled to commence in spring 2014.

Scheduled to launch this spring, Amero is Trumark Urban’s first condominium building to come to market in San Francisco.  One of the only new buildings in the Cow Hollow/Marina neighborhood, it features a contemporary design, high-end amenities and stylish finishes, along with views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

8 Octavia in Hayes Valley will be a landmark building designed by award-winning architect Stanley Saitowitz. Developed by DDG and DM Development, the residences will be available for sale this year.

Centrally located in the South of Market neighborhood, 870 Harrison is a boutique property with 26 residences developed by JS Sullivan Development.  The building is within easy walking or biking distance to many of the city’s top technology companies including Twitter, Foursquare and Dropbox.

35 Dolores is a four-story residential condominium located in the vibrant Mission Dolores neighborhood of San Francisco.  Developed by Lightner Property Group and designed by noted architecture firm Levy Design Partners, the newly constructed building will feature 33 homes and more than 3,350 square feet of common open space for residents.
