New name reflects firm growth and celebrates design

San Francisco, CA (June 6, 2017) –NicholsBooth Architects announces today that it has changed its name to Revel Architecture & Design to reflect the firm’s expanded leadership and revelatory approach to design. The new name represents the firm’s passion for workplace design as a celebration of each client’s unique brand, culture, personality, and workstyle.

CEO and President Gary Nichols said, “We chose the new name—Revel Architecture & Design—to embody our collective culture of creativity. We create dynamic, genuine design solutions that inspire as well as perform; we love what we do and revel in our work, start to finish.”

The firm’s renaming follows the appointment of Scott Clement to COO and Principal. Clement said, “We love bringing a client’s vision to life. Our new name embodies our passion for what we do, from how we guide clients through the design process to the ways we collaborate and solve problems.”

As leading interior architects, the thirty-five person firm has designed spaces for numerous notable technology, commercial, and healthcare clients nationally and internationally since its founding in 1994. In 2017, the firm was listed as the 12th largest Bay Area interior design firm in the San Francisco Business Times.

Revel’s recent contributions to sustainable, innovative workplace design include the 190,000 square foot expansion of Splunk’s downtown San Francisco campus, the Denver offices of Autodesk, Informatica’s Headquarters in Redwood City, a medical office building and clinics for Stanford Health Care, and commercial spaces for Tishman Speyer and Union Bank. The firm’s legacy of distinguished clients also includes Snapfish, Hulu, Apple, Fitbit, Constant Contact, Zebra Technologies, Kaiser Permanente, and many other leading technology, healthcare, and commercial clients, most of them repeat clients.

Representative of a future-oriented focus, the new name will help the firm as it continues to expand and bring its creativity and ingenuity to both long-term and new clients in the Bay Area and beyond.
