NOVO Principal, Robert Williamson Appointed to the Construction Employers Association Board

San Francisco, Calif. (March 12, 2010) – NOVO Construction announced today that their Co-founder and Principal, Robert Williamson has been appointed to Construction Employers Association Board of Directors.

As a Board member, Williamson will participate in making policy decisions for the prominent construction industry association.  CEA is a membership-based organization representing the top general contractors in Northern California.  The mission of the CEA is to advance and protect the interests of CEA member firms and the unionized building construction industry with respect to key California legislative issues.  CEA also provides its members a wide range of services and benefits including: negotiation of union agreements, professional labor relations representation, legislative representation, safety forums, and annual confidential building industry salary survey, a public works/prevailing wage program, and a construction management “university” program.

Williamson, who co-founded NOVO in 2000 with partners Jim Fowler and Arne Ericson, is an 18-year veteran construction professional with special expertise in corporate interiors as well as large shell and core construction and highly technical projects.  As Principal in Charge of Operations at NOVO he has played an integral role in growing the company from start-up mode to a formidable construction force in the Bay Area with 150 employees and over $300 million in revenue.  He earned a Master of Sciences degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University in 1994.
