As it hunts for room to grow, OpenAI has toured a cluster of the region's biggest available office campuses—among them Mountain View's The Quad and Sunnyvale's Tech Corners—in a search that underscores how the artificial intelligence industry is spilling out of its San Francisco heartland and into Silicon Valley proper.
