SAP Takes Add’l 90,000 SQFT in Bishop Ranch, Totaling Nearly 235,000 SQFT

Expansion comes on heels of strong Bishop Ranch leasing activity in 2019 of nearly 1 million square feet of renewals and new leases

San Ramon, Calif. – January 27, 2020 – Sunset Development Company today announced that SAP (NYSE: SAP), an international market leader in enterprise application software, has expanded its lease at 2600 Camino Ramon in Bishop Ranch. Sunset officials said that demand for space was strong in 2019 — in which new and renewal activity totaled nearly 1 million square feet.

SAP leased an additional 90,000 square feet, bringing its total workspace at the iconic 2600 campus to nearly 235,000 square feet. SAP initially began relocating its regional offices to Bishop Ranch in 2015; the expanded lease represents the company’s ongoing consolidation of some of its offices from elsewhere in the Bay Area to the East Bay.

New and expanded leases signed last year included WeWork, which signed a lease for 86,000 square feet at 2600 Camino Ramon, and Striking Distance Studios, an industry-leading game development studio created by PUBG Corporation, which leased 25,000 square feet at BR 1 for its new headquarters. Both companies are expected to open new workspaces in Q1.
