Oakland’s ‘New View’ On Track for Completion by Early 2019
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 2, 2018) – Shorenstein Properties LLC (“Shorenstein” or the “Company”), an owner and operator of high-quality office, residential and mixed-use properties across the U.S., today announced the topping out of steel erection, which is being led by Hathaway Dinwiddie along with award-winning architecture firm Korth Sunseri Hagey, at 601 Oakland City Center, a LEED® Gold certified luxury office space located in the heart of Oakland. To commemorate this milestone, Shorenstein held a ceremonial topping out event held at the project site, joined by Cushman & Wakefield,
Hathaway Dinwiddie and Korth Sunseri Hagey. Totaling 24 stories, 601 City Center will provide a noteworthy new addition to the Oakland skyline while offering phenomenal 360-degree views of San Francisco, the Oakland Hills, UC Berkeley and the surrounding areas.

As the largest “Green” Class-A building in California’s East Bay, 601 City Center will offer approximately 374,000 square feet of revolutionary Class-A space featuring countless amenities to serve its tenants, including a second floor roof deck and eleven on-site showers. 601 City Center will also have two stories of underground parking totaling more than 400 car stalls, spaces for more than 100 bicycles, and more than eight electric vehicle parking stations.
The tower is conveniently located in Oakland’s bustling City Center Complex with access to BART, SF Bay Ferry, 580 and 880 freeways, Old Oakland and Jack London Square, and is close to a multitude of dining and shopping options.
601 City Center expects space to be available for lease with building deliverable for tenant improvements by early 2019.
