Named to San Jose Downtown Association Board
JANUARY 3, 2017 – SAN JOSE, CA – Silicon Valley’s Iron Construction, Inc. announced today the general contractor’s marketing and business development director, Stephanie Pence, has been named to the board of directors of the San Jose Downtown Association (SJDA).
The SJDA is a nonprofit, membership-based organization founded in 1986 to represent business and property owners. The organization works to make downtown a better place for business, residents and visitors through events, advocacy, marketing and more. The SJDA advocates on issues effecting downtown, markets the region, helps business navigate city hall, hosts events including Downtown Ice and Music in the Park and works with downtown’s Property-Based Improvement District (PBID) to keep downtown clean and safe.
“The San Jose Downtown Association is fortunate to have Stephanie’s perspective as she not only represents a local construction business but also resident interests as a homeowner in the Market Almaden neighborhood next to the SoFA district,” says SJDA executive director Scott Knies. Since 2011, Mrs. Pence has overseen strategy and messaging as marketing and business development director at Iron Construction. Prior to Iron, she enjoyed roles with Marvell Semiconductor and Atmel.
