The Fresh Market to Open on World Famous El Paseo in Palm Desert
The Fresh Market will be expanding its presence with a brand new 24,254 square foot store opening on the world famous El Paseo at El Paseo Square Shopping Center in Palm Desert, CA. Located along Highway 111 and San Pablo, the world famous El Paseo Shopping District, known as the “Rodeo Drive of the Desert,” features over 300 world-class shops, clothing boutiques, art galleries, jewelers, restaurants and more. Founded in 1982, The Fresh Market, Inc. is a specialty upscale, luxury grocery retailer and currently operates 164 stores in 27 states across the U.S. For more information, please visit www.thefreshmarket.com. Tractor Supply Co. Taking over Former Bowling Center in Watsonville
Tractor Supply Co. has signed a long-term lease for 19,100 square feet of space at 580 Auto Center Drive in Watsonville, CA. The property, which currently houses the long-vacant Cabrillo Lanes bowling center, is owned by 580 Auto Center Drive, LLC. The existing bowling structure will be demolished for the construction of a brand new Tractor Supply store, estimated to open summer 2015. The property is well located near several major auto dealerships roughly two blocks off Main Street (California State Route 129) and approximately one and a half miles off California State Route 1. Eateries Bennigan’s and Boneheads Joining The Block Party in Fremont
The Block at Pacific Commons in Fremont has added two more dining options for its customers, Bennigan’s and Boneheads. Bennigan’s, an Irish pub-themed casual restaurant, will be opening a 5,600 square foot restaurant and Boneheads, known for its grilled fish and Piri Piri chicken, will be opening a 2,334 square foot restaurant. The Block features major retailers Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods (just opened) and Century Theaters and when combined with Pacific Commons comprises Northern California’s larger power center at over 1 million square feet. Encina Grande Shopping Center Fetches Anchor Tenant, PetSmart
The Encina Grande Shopping Center in Walnut Creek, CA has landed a long-term lease for 9,937 square feet of end cap space with PetSmart. The neighborhood center is located at 2817-2995 Ygnacio Valley Road and is owned by Regency Centers. Other key tenants in the center include Walgreens, ACE Hardware, Applebee’s and a future committed Whole Foods. Westgate Center Drives Up New Tenancy Roll with Boulevard Café
The recently renovated Westgate Center (Mall) in west San Jose, CA has signed another new significant tenant, Boulevard Cafe. The café, which also has an existing location in Daly City, is scheduled to open its new West Valley locale in 7,648 square feet sometime in early 2015. Boulevard Café will be taking over the former Chevys Fresh Mex restaurant space along Saratoga Avenue (at Atherton Avenue). Westgate Center is owned by Federal Realty Investment Trust. Applebee’s Coming to New Village Oaks in South San Jose Neighborhood
The brand new Village Oaks shopping center in south San Jose, CA has landed another key restaurant addition, Applebee’s. The casual neighborhood-friendly dining establishment will be opening a 5,500 square foot restaurant at the brand new center. Village Oaks, currently being developed, is owned by Hunter Storm Properties. Applebee’s has nearly 2,200 locations across North America. The Habit Burger Grill Adding New North Bay and East Bay Locations
The Habit Burger Grill has signed a pair of recent leases to further expand its presence in Northern California, as the popular burger chain signed deals for two new 2,200 square foot restaurants at Napa Crossings South shopping center in Napa, CA and Heritage Square shopping center in Concord, CA. The Habit is slated to open its new Napa restaurant in early 2015 and its Concord restaurant in late 2015. Notably, The Habit also recently opened a new restaurant in Novato in a deal publicized prior. MOD Pizza Adding Two More NorCal Locations in Brentwood and Rocklin
MOD Pizza has inked deals for two more new pizzeria locations in Northern California in the cities of Brentwood and Rocklin. MOD leased 2,200 square feet for a new pad location at Lone Tree Plaza in Brentwood and 2,500 square feet for an end cap space at Rocklin Crossings shopping center in Sacramento Valley. The Counter Burger Stacks on Another Location in Silicon Valley
The Counter Custom Built Burgers has leased 2,945 square feet of end cap space for a brand new restaurant location in Cupertino, CA. The 21st century, gourmet do-it-yourself burger joint will be located in a new retail center known as The Biltmore at 20080 Stevens Creek Boulevard at Blaney Avenue. The property is owned by Prometheus Real Estate Group. The Counter also has another nearby location at the popular Santana Row. Noodles & Co. Continues Strong Growth with Three New Southern California Locations
Noodles & Co. has leased space for three locations in the Southern California cities of San Marcos, Oceanside and Carlsbad, adding to its recent restaurant growth to well over 420 units in the United States. Noodles & Co. leased 2,406 square feet at Creekside Marketplace shopping center in San Marcos, 2,513 square feet of space at Camino Town & Country shopping center in Oceanside, and 2,507 square feet of space at La Costa Town Square in Carlsbad. The three properties are separately owned by The City of San Marcos, Milan Real Estate Investments, LLC, and PDC Safeway/Vons, respectively. Fresh Pixx, a pizza and salad concept by Round Table, has leased 2,493 square feet of end cap space for a brand new restaurant location in Cupertino, CA. Fresh Pixx is a fast, do-it-yourself pizzeria and salad bar that delivers fresh, specially selected ingredients. The restaurant will open in a brand new retail center known as The Biltmore at 20080 Stevens Creek Boulevard at Blaney Avenue. The property is owned by Prometheus Real Estate Group. Headquartered in Concord, CA, Round Table is the fifth largest pizza chain in the U.S. with over 500 restaurant locations in nine western states and five foreign countries. Round Table Pizza has leased 4,080 square feet of inline space for a new restaurant location at Raley’s Towne Center in Rohnert Park, CA. The pizzeria chain’s new North Bay location is located at 100 Raley’s Towne Center, just off of Rohnert Park Expressway and U.S. Route 101. The property is owned by Codding Enterprises, LP. Safari Kids Swinging into Fairway Park Shopping Center, Hayward
Safari Kids has leased 3,300 square feet of inline space at the Fairway Park Shopping Center in Hayward, CA. The neighborhood center is located at 31109 Mission Boulevard at Rousseau Street and is owned by FPA Hayward Associates, LP. Safari Kids, a learning program for children that was founded in Silicon Valley, will join other tenants in the center that include Fresh & Easy, Rite Aid and Dollar Tree. Fallon Gateway Adds Bay Area Indian Cuisine, Chaat Café
Fallon Gateway shopping center in Dublin, CA has signed new tenant Chaat Café, a Bay Area-based eatery specializing in Indian cuisine. Chaat Café leased 2,039 square feet of space for its new restaurant scheduled to open in early 2015. The newly constructed Target-anchored Fallon Gateway is well located at Interstate 580, Fallon Road and Dublin Boulevard in the center of the Tri-Valley trade area. The center is owned by Charter Properties (with exception to the Target store). Styles for Less has over 150 stores and offers shoppers the latest styles of clothing, shoes, accessories and more, for less.
