South San Jose’s New Village Oaks Shopping Center Fetches Petco as Junior Anchor
September 24, 2013 – Todd Oliver and James Chung with Terranomics Retail Services represented owner/developer Hunter Storm Properties in a new lease with Petco Animals Supplies Stores, Inc. at the new Target-anchored Village Oaks shopping center in South San Jose.  Petco signed a long-term lease for 14,500 square feet of inline space and will serve as one of the center’s junior anchors. Village Oaks is currently under construction with an anticipated opening in spring 2014. In addition to Target, Village Oaks has secured several retailers including, Safeway, Marshall’s, Panera Bread, and Chase with many more tenants to be announced in the very near future.

When completed, Village Oaks will consist of over 300,000 square feet of new retail space in addition to 5 acres dedicated to high density residential.

Dollar Tree Stores Growing More Roots in Nor Cal’s Orland and Redding
September 24, 2013 – Jared Dong and Bob Dong with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Dollar Tree Stores in two leases in the Northern California cities of Orland and Redding. In Orland, Dollar Tree signed a long-term lease for 10,300 square feet of space at Stony Creek Square, owned by Sonoma County Land Company, Inc. And in Redding, the popular discount retailer signed a lease for 9,600 square feet at Westwood Village shopping center, owned by Daha Investments. Dollar Tree plans to open both stores sometime in the first half of 2014.

Buffalo Wild Wings Opening New Grill & Bar in Downtown Livermore’s Vine Center
September 24, 2013 – James Chung with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Buffalo Wild Wings in the lease of 6,800 square feet of restaurant space for its new grill and bar at the Vine Center in downtown Livermore. There are currently more than 900 Buffalo Wild Wings locations across 49 states in the United States, as well as in Canada.

Rok Chooses Hot @First Center in North San Jose for 2nd Restaurant Location
September 24, 2013 –Todd Oliver and James Chung with Terranomics Retail Services in collaboration with Gary Hansen of Cassidy Turley negotiated the lease of 4,752 square feet of restaurant space on behalf of landlord American Realty Advisors and tenant Rok Stone-Age Fondue & Steakhouse at North San Jose’s popular @First center. With an opening scheduled for early 2014, Rok will be joining a strong roster of eateries at the center, which American Realty acquired last year. Rok’s other location is in downtown Sunnyvale. Oliver and Chung represented American Realty and Hansen represented Rok in the transaction.

Sajj Falafel & Schwarma Bringing Mediterranean Cuisine to The Village at San Antonio and @First Centers
September 24, 2013 – Todd Oliver and James Chung with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Sajj Falafel & Schwarma in leases for two new restaurant locations in Mountain View and North San Jose. Sajj leased 1,695 square feet of space at The Village at San Antonio Center in Mountain View, a mixed-use Safeway-anchored center positioned at the buzzing intersection of El Camino Real and San Antonio Rd and owned by Merlone Geier Management, LLC.  Sajj also signed a new lease for 2,249 square feet of space at the @First shopping center in North San Jose located at North First Street and Highway 237 and owned by American Realty Advisors. Sajj also operates another location in Menlo Park near the Facebook campus and will be opening several new restaurants in the South Bay in the near future.

Blue Gingko Izakaya Rolling into Fallon Gateway Shopping Center in Early 2014
September 24, 2013 – Matt Kircher, Patrick McGaughey and Trish Gonsalves with Terranomics Retail Services represented landlord Charter Properties in the lease of 4,393 square feet of end cap restaurant space to Blue Gingko Izakaya at the Fallon Gateway Shopping Center in Dublin. The Izakaya concept represents a Japanese establishment in which food is served on small plates and shared. Blue Gingko, which has successful sushi restaurant locations in Danville and Lafayette, is scheduled to open its Izakaya concept at Fallon Gateway in early 2014, and will be located next to BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse. Fallon Gateway is a Target-anchored center that will total 370,000 square feet when fully built out.

Starbucks An Added Amenity of New Crescent Village Apartments in North San Jose
September 24, 2013 – James Chung with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Starbucks in the lease of 2,242 square feet of space at the newly developed Crescent Village Apartments in North San Jose. Surrounded by many major employers, Starbucks will be well positioned within the high profile 1,750-unit complex located at 3350 Zanker Rd—on the site of the former Sony campus— that is owned by The Irvine Company.

GNC Continues to Boost Locations, Adds Store at Glen Cover Center in Vallejo
September 24, 2013 – Katie Singer and Annie Jabuka with Terranomics Retail Services represented both landlord Glen Cove Investments, LLC and tenant GNC in the lease of 2,085 square feet of inline space at the Glen Cove Center in Vallejo. The center is located at NEC Glen Cove Rd and Robles Dr. Singer and Jabuka represented Glen Cove, with Singer also representing GNC in the transaction.

Parkside Plaza Shopping Center Gets Social with Create Mix & Mingle; Once Upon a Child Also Joining Center
September 24, 2013 – Mike Costa and Katie Singer with Terranomics Retail Services represented property owner KB San Mateo in leasing to new tenants Create Mix & Mingle and Once Upon a Child at the Parkside Plaza Shopping Center in San Mateo. Create Mix & Mingle leased 3,615 square feet while Once Upon a Child leased 3,148 square feet, with both planning to open later this year. Located at highways 92 and 101, Parkside’s key tenants are Office Depot, Smart & Final and Pet Club. Create Mix & Mingle considers itself San Mateo’s new venue for art entertainment, featuring creative social gatherings for all ages. Once Upon A Child is the largest kids resale franchise in North America and all its stores are individually owned and operated.

Yogurtland Coming Soon to Brokaw North Shopping Center in North San Jose
September 24, 2013 – James Chung with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Yogurtland in the lease of 1,010 square feet of space at the new Brokaw North shopping center in North San Jose. Owned/developed by Dollinger Properties, the newly constructed center is located at E. Brokaw Rd. and Oakland Rd. and is anchored by an LA Fitness.
