Trumark Homes Opens Sales for Two Bay Area Communities

As the Northern California housing market begins to rebound, Trumark opens two new residential communities in Newark and Sunnyvale

Newark and Sunnyvale, Calif. (September 10, 2020) — Trumark Homes, a national award-winning California homebuilder, today announced its Newark community, Compass Bay, and its Sunnyvale community, Harmony, are now open for sale. Comprised of two distinct neighborhoods and 138 single-family homes, Compass Bay offers a secluded location just outside San Francisco and minutes away from the bay. And, situated roughly 20 miles South, Harmony offers 58 detached single-family homes in the heart of the Silicon Valley.

Following record-low home sales after the initial outbreak of COVID-19, the Northern California housing market is quickly starting to show signs of recovery with sales up nearly 70% from May to June. As favorable interest rates combine with an increased desire for flexible living space due to recent stay-home mandates, Bay Area homebuyers are driving up housing demand and median home prices, setting the stage for a seller’s market just in time for Harmony and Compass Bay to open sales.

“While the global pandemic brought many challenges and uncertainties to our industry, our team has adjusted operations to protect the health and safety of our staff and potential homebuyers, resulting in consistent home sales over the past several months,” said Tony Bosowski, Northern California Division President at Trumark Homes. “With the Northern California housing market quickly beginning its rebound from the COVID-19 slump, we are very optimistic that both Harmony and Compass Bay will attract many homebuyers seeking larger homes to accommodate their new, work-from-home lifestyles.”

Starting from the high $900,000s, Compass Bay features myriad options to fit each homebuyer’s specific needs. Their Dover neighborhood offers 53 single-family detached homes with as many as four bedrooms and up to 2,689 square feet of living space, ideal for today’s growing families. For smaller households with a less pressing need for space, Compass Bay’s Newport neighborhood offers 85 single-family attached homes ranging from 1,871 to 2,018 square feet. Both Newport and Dover feature two-car garages, open floorplans, spacious kitchen islands and a contemporary craftsman design. Located in the small town of Newark overlooking the San Francisco Bay, Compass Bay offers all the benefits of a removed, suburban location while still providing commuters with convenient access to the city. Residents can enjoy Bay Trails and natural surroundings and remain connected to city life through the Dumbarton Bridge. Starting from the mid $2,400,000s, Harmony is comprised of single-family detached homes with a selection of four floor plans to suit a variety of different lifestyles. Ranging from 2,587 to 2,977 square feet, these spacious Sunnyvale homes include four bedrooms, 4 – 4.5 bathrooms, large master suites and expansive walk-in closets to accommodate homebuyers’ growing need for ample living space. The neighborhood is located in the highly-rated Santa Clara Unified School District for families with young children, and its close proximity to Silicon Valley employment centers offers commuters an easy drive to and from their place of work. So far, Harmony has sold out all homes in its preliminary round of virtual sales, indicating significant demand in the Sunnyvale market and promising continued success for the official sales opening.

Harmony and Compass Bay are two of Trumark’s five new communities in Northern California. Edendale, located in Danville, is set to open sales on September 19th, Leeward at Alameda Point is currently open for sales and hard hat tours, and Origin, Trumark’s premier age-qualified community in Manteca, is experiencing consistent sales and is the first residential community to receive a WELL Certification™. The acquisition of Harmony and Compass Bay were completed in partnership with Hillwood Development Company.
