San Francisco (November 21, 2013) – San Francisco-based architecture firm Walker Warner Architects (www.walker-warner.com) has elevated Michael McCabe, LEED AP, and Kathy Scott, LEED AP, to Associate Principals and Thomas Clapper, LEED AP, and Clark Sather, LEED AP, to Senior Associates. The elevation of these individuals acknowledges their ability to take on additional leadership roles within the firm while allowing Principals Brooks Walker, LEED AP, and Greg Warner, AIA, LEED AP, to continue offering a high level of design and service to their clients.

In their 15-plus years with Walker Warner Architects, McCabe and Scott have demonstrated both their strength as designers and an aptitude for taking on firm-wide responsibilities to improve internal efficiencies related to finance and process, respectively. Together, McCabe and Scott ensure that the firm’s work is consistently of the utmost quality. McCabe joined Walker Warner Architects in 1997 and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Scott joined Walker Warner Architects in 1995 and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University.

Over the years Clapper and Sather have emerged as leaders of respective initiatives that expand the firm’s knowledge base and ultimately help maintain the firm’s design excellence. Clapper joined Walker Warner Architects in 2001 and holds a Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Tulane University. Sather joined Walker Warner Architects in 1999 and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Master of Architecture from Montana State University.

Co-founded in 1989 by Brooks Walker and Greg Warner, Walker Warner Architects has grown to a 25-plus-person firm focused on custom residential architecture, working collaboratively to successfully execute their work on a wide range of projects in California, Hawaii, and the Western United States. Currently the firm is working on several custom residential projects, several of which are in Hawaii, as well as developing additional tasting venues at the Quintessa winery.

“With these promotions, we’re delegating leadership primarily in the overhead areas of expertise and knowledge sharing, in support of all projects in the office,” says Principal Greg Warner. “The standards and practices are really being taken on by these four, and certain initiatives are being furthered by their actions.”
