San Francisco, CA, April 14, 2016 – Bay Area Reporter has just announced that Katharine Holland, Zephyr Real Estate, has won the B.A.R.’s 2016 Besties Award for Best Realtor in San Francisco.
The B.A.R.’s sixth annual readers’ poll included nominees in seven categories: arts and entertainment, community, nightlife, restaurants, services and shopping, sex, and weddings and destinations. As with last year’s ballot, each nominee grouping included an option for readers to write in their own suggestion. Voting began on January 28 and concluded on March 2. Readers who completed a minimum of 75 percent of the ballot were automatically eligible for prizes, including this year’s grand prize of a three-night Maui getaway for two.
The B.A.R. hosted its Besties party at Oasis, 298 Eleventh Street, on Thursday, April 7. The evening featured drink specials and light refreshments and loads of local entertainment for a touch of glamour and excitement to the festivities. B.A.R. also celebrated its 45th anniversary at this event.
The Besties is not a formal awards show. Instead, winners and finalists read the special Besties edition of the Bay Area Reporter (published on April 7) to find out who won, and then join the party and entertainment.

Holland recently received high praise from Placester, for her innovative, creative and savvy marketing techniques, particularly for the property videos on her website at www.katharineholland.com and her youtube page. Her videos “epitomize real estate marketing creativity and high production value,” according to Placester. The videos have had over 55,000 views with a highly-positive comment response, as well as national TV coverage and feature news stories.
Holland, who has been in the business 14 years, recently joined Zephyr Real Estate, a firm well known for its cutting-edge technology and marketing acumen.
