Leasing Underway at New Luxury Rental Community by Blake|Griggs Properties; 8 Retailers Already Signed for Walking-Street & Public Paseo Spaces

Fremont, CA (Nov. 27, 2017) — With leasing of its rental apartments now underway and eight ground-floor retailers already signed, the Artist Walk luxury apartment community across from the Fremont ACE train station announced today a public grand-opening celebration from 11:30am to 1:30 pm with food trucks, music and arts-entertainment Thurs., Nov. 30, at 3888 Artist Walk Common at Fremont Blvd. A ribbon-cutting with public officials at 10:30 am precedes the free, public reception.

The transit-oriented development (TOD) is a project of Danville-based Blake|Griggs Properties, a private real estate investment, development and services company with a $4.5 billion track record.

Located in Fremont’s historic Centerville District, Artist Walk’s 185 residences include 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. Amenities include a public courtyard, large water fountain and a 1,900-square-foot private community room available to residents for art exhibits and meeting space. The apartments feature in-unit washer/dryers, nine-foot ceilings and private balconies. Residents also have access to a business center, clubhouse, resort-style pool, pet spa and bicycle maintenance room.

Eight retailers now set to open in the 30,000 square-feet of commercial space including a Bun Appetit hand-crafted bakery, Orange Theory Fitness, Rapid Fire Pizza, Asian restaurant and a Mediterranean restaurant among others, according to Ryan McNamara, Development Director for Blake|Griggs.

“The apartment leasing is also going very well,” he added. “Artist Walk offers beautiful new apartment homes with retail space along activated plazas, bringing new energy to the popular, historic Centerville district. We designed the amenities and lifestyle at Artist Walk to provide a respite when you get home, yet close to employment centers, shopping, entertainment, shoreline parks, the East Bay hills and more,” said McNamara.

Artist Walk is a rare, well-designed mixed-use community of housing, walkable shops and restaurants, he added. A new private street through the property named “Artist Walk Common” offers a connection from Post Street to Fremont Boulevard onto landscaped plazas fronted by retail storefronts.

Rents for Artist Walk’s market-rate housing start at approximately $2,300 per month.

The project is a block from the ACE train station, 2 miles from BART, and easily accessible to Interstate 880, the Dumbarton Bridge and Silicon Valley.

Artist Walk is a joint venture development of Blake|Griggs and JD Capital. Financing was provided by PCCP, LLC. Design is by BDE Architecture and Architects Orange. The general contractor is Western National Builders.
