Sponsors anticipate another sell-out for popular charity ride in Sonoma County countryside
SAN FRANCISCO/PETALUMA, Calif. (Sept. 2026) – Real estate professionals are invited to come out and support City of Hope, one of the nation’s largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations, by joining this year’s Bike to Hope, which tours through the beautiful Sonoma countryside on Friday, Oct. 16, 2026 from a start/finish at Lagunitas Brewing Company, 1280 N. McDowell Blvd, Petaluma. Registration for the Northern California Real Estate & Construction Council’s (NCREC) 15th annual fundraiser is well over half-full according to event organizers.

NCREC’s Bike to Hope event brings real estate and construction industry leaders together on behalf of a single philanthropic goal: supporting the lifesaving treatment and compassionate care at City of Hope cancer and diabetes. NCREC has raised millions of dollars for City of Hope through its annual Bike to Hope and Spirit of Life® events, accelerating tomorrow’s scientific discoveries to reach cancer and diabetes patients who need them today.
Nibbi Brothers General Contractors Hudson Pacific Properties, Pankow Builders, BKF Engineers, Plant Construction Company, Swinerton Foundation, Singular Builders, and Stockbridge are lead-sponsors for the anticipated sell-out event. With some 300 people expected to join, riders are encouraged to sign up online and ensure their spot. Riders will be equipped with a personalized fundraising website once registered.
Bike to Hope features course options that cater to seasoned and casual riders alike: a metric century (62 miles), a half-metric century (31 miles) and a 10-mile course as well. The routes will take the cyclists through the back roads of Sonoma County just north of San Francisco and will culminate with celebratory brews and lunch back at Lagunitas Brewery.

To see more than 300 people from the real estate, design and construction industry come together each year to ride, volunteer and support this cause is incredibly rewarding and something that means a great deal to me personally.
“What makes Bike to Hope so special is knowing that every dollar we raise supports City of Hope and its extraordinary work to find new treatments and cures for cancer,” he added. “Over the years, our industry has come together for this ride to raise more than $2 million for that mission, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together. The ride has become much more than a fundraising event. It’s a day of camaraderie, friendship and shared purpose — and a reminder of what our industry can accomplish when we come together for something bigger than ourselves.”
