Bay Area Expansion Continues for The New Home Company with Acquisition of Land in Fremont and Santa Clara

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.  – As part of its strategic Bay Area expansion, The New Home Company (NEW HOME, NYSE: NWHM) today announced the acquisition of three sites in two of the region’s hottest housing markets, Fremont and Santa Clara.

NEW HOME is moving forward with plans to build three communities—two in Fremont and one in Santa Clara—totaling 91 homes, in these prime, tech-centric locations.

The Landing is a new community of 33 contemporary townhomes coming soon to Mission Boulevard in Fremont. These multi-story residences will feature three to four bedrooms and will range from 1,612 to 1,905 square feet of living space. The Landing is within walking distance to great schools, Central Park, Lake Elizabeth and downtown Fremont. Residents will enjoy the modern amenities of Fremont living and close proximity to Silicon Valley and to the Bart Station for easy access to San Francisco. The Landing is anticipated to open in spring 2016.

Located in the popular southeast corner of Santa Clara, Emerson will offer 33, three-story townhomes featuring up to 1,900 square feet of living space. Emerson will provide future residents with easy access to Saratoga Avenue and San Tomas Expressway, and is within walking distance to the Pruneridge Shopping Center, Pruneridge Golf Club, Santana Row and Valley Fair Mall. NEW HOME plans to open Emerson in fall 2016.

Also in Fremont, NEW HOME will build 25 homes at a soon-to-be named community located approximately one-half mile from The Landing on Mission Boulevard. Specific plans for these residences will be announced in the near future.
