Boy Scout Gala Honors TMG’s Matt Field

Gala proceeds support outreach to low income families and provide scholarships for camp to “at risk” youth

San Francisco, CA (October 30, 2017) – San Francisco real estate veteran Matt Field of TMG Partners will be this year’s honoree at the 33rd Annual Gala held by the San Francisco Bay Area Council of the Boy Scouts.

The Gala will be held on Thursday, November 2 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Francisco. Proceeds assist the local Scout Council in making sure inner city and “at risk” youth are able to participate in a variety of outdoor experiences, including summer camp.

Mr. Field is the Chief Investment Officer at TMG Partners and has 30 years of commercial real estate experience, including development, finance, leasing and project management. He has been with TMG Partners since 1993 and is responsible for managing acquisitions and dispositions, while supporting the firm’s development activities with lead responsibility for the real estate portfolio. Mr. Field also chairs this Investment Committee at TMG Partners and is a member of Lambda Alpha, NAIOP San Francisco Chapter, Urban Land Institute, and Fisher Center Policy Advisory Board member.

Boy Scout Troop 14, chartered to the Calvary Presbyterian Church in San Francisco since 1915, will provide the opening ceremony. More than 350 Scouts have achieved the Eagle Award, Scouting’s highest honor since 1915 including United States Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer. Scout C.J. Johnson, a member of Troop 409 chartered to the Allen Temple Baptist Church in the East Oakland, will share how Scouting has benefitted his life.

In recent years, the Gala Committee has focused on stemming the tide of youth violence by providing educational programs that focus on developing leadership skills and building personal character. As a result, over a thousand youth are gifted a week at camp to have experiences outside of their urban neighborhoods.
