The Latest Multifamily Development in the heart of the SoFA Arts District in San Jose
OCTOBER 25, 2017 – SAN JOSE, CA. – This morning The CORE Companies celebrated the groundbreaking of Sparq apartments, a seven-story, mixed-use, residential and commercial development in Downtown San Jose’s SoFA Arts District.
Grading is now underway in this unique apartment community targeting creative tech workers. Designed by BDE Architects and Studio-M Interiors, the design draws inspiration from the innovative culture that drives Silicon Valley and the SoFA Arts District that is its home.
In addition to its 105 apartments, with a mix of studios, 1 & 2 Bedrooms, Sparq offers residents creative social amenities including; an outdoor cabana, mezzanine game room, and a wifi reading lounge. Residents will also be treated to some of the latest apartment technology in San Jose, including electronic package lockers, and automated car parking systems.
This 0.56-acre project, on the corner of South First Street and Reed, includes 3,000 square feet of commercial space in Downtown San Jose’s thriving SoFA which includes SoFA Market, live jazz at Cafe Stirch, and fitness and wellness center 3rd space fitness.
The Core Companies is excited to be developing this project in collaboration with its investment partners; CMR Capital Group, Terra Capital and Capital Source. The project is being built by general contractor Core Builders and scheduled to open in 2019.
The CORE Companies and their investors along with CORE Builders and 50 guests celebrated the ground-breaking of the new multi-family development in the heart of the SoFA district. Several guest speakers including Chris Neale, Executive Vice President of Development for the CORE Companies and also Steve Bozek, Senior Vice President of CMR Capital Group took the time to chat about the new project with city council members and the community.
