Case Swenson to Receive 2018 Distinguished Citizen Award

Dinner announcement will be presented by the Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council

SAN JOSE, CA (October 3, 2018) – The Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council is pleased to announce that Case Swenson of SWENSON is the recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Citizen Award. Established by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), for over four decades this prestigious award has recognized positive leadership while increasing awareness for Scouting by raising necessary funds to serve over 13,000 youth in the community.

This year, Case Swenson is being recognized for his outstanding contributions to Santa Clara Valley and exemplifying BSA values of leadership, personal responsibility, and civic duty. Involved in various organizations, including the Silicon Valley Organization, First Tee of San Jose, and chairman of the Metro A Trust, Mr. Swenson is an active member of the community. At the forefront of social innovation, he was involved in building the nation’s most inclusive public playground designed for children of all abilities, located in Palo Alto, California. He also utilizes his resources as president at SWENSON to give back to the community through education, philanthropy, and volunteer services.

Prior to joining SWENSON in 2013, Mr. Swenson managed his own construction company, Swenson Development & Construction (SDC) for over two decades. Now president of SWENSON, he is responsible for executive operations as well as overseeing project development and construction, real estate development, property management, and accounting.

The Distinguished Citizen Dinner will be held at 5:30pm on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the City National Civic in downtown San Jose, and will finish with a very special live concert by Don Felder, formerly of The Eagles.
