San Francisco – June, 2011 CBRE Group, Inc’s (CBRE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Yasukochi as the head of Research & Analysis for the company’s Northern California market research practice based in San Francisco.
Yasukochi, a leading commercial real estate analyst and commentator, began studying Northern California real estate markets in 2000 and most recently worked for Jones Lang LaSalle in San Francisco. Prior to that, he worked in Honolulu, Hawaii for that State’s urban redevelopment agency and a private real estate research and consulting firm.
CBRE is expanding and deepening its research and analysis platform to enhance mining the firm’s proprietary “big data” resource accumulated over many decades of tracking, documenting, and analyzing real estate markets globally. Yasukochi’s role and expertise will help launch this effort to uncover even more emerging market trends, patterns, and opportunities that will offer competitive advantage to our clients.
In his new role, Yasukochi will lead the Northern California research team and focus on expanding insight generation and market intelligence in a way that guides real estate strategies, identifies risks, and validates decision making. This will strengthen the firm’s market-leading research and commitment to superior client service. Yasukochi’s pioneering work studying the technology industry, which exposed business growth patterns driving real estate demand and space utilization in the San Francisco Bay Area and across the country, is one example of what to expect.
“Colin brings an innovative approach to research analytics and data visualization through deep experience in the market. His ability to interpret statistics and use his perspective to be predictive about future market trends and implications will be of tremendous value to the company,” said CBRE’s Head of America’s Research and Senior Managing Director, Asieh Mansour.
