Colliers International’s Fairfield Office Hires Two New Brokers

June 20, 2012, Fairfield, CA – Colliers International’s Fairfield office recently added Bret DeMartini and Chris Petrini, veteran industrial brokers to their Fairfield office. The new hires join the firm from Grubb & Ellis (OTCBB: GBRE), which is being purchased by BGC Partners Inc. (NASDAQ: BGCP) after Grubb & Ellis filed for bankruptcy protection. The Colliers Fairfield office covers Solano, Napa and Contra Costa Counties and is currently the only national real estate firm with a staffed/full time presence in the Solano and Napa County marketplaces.

Bret spent 28 years in the Walnut Creek’s Grubb & Ellis office as a Senior Vice President. Bret is an accomplished broker, a CCIM and has brokered close to a 1,000 transactions over the years. He handles investment sales, leasing, build to suits and consulting services in the Solano and Napa areas. Bret commented, “I really look forward to working at Colliers as they have a great group of brokers, for which I have a great deal of respect.”

Chris was a Senior Vice President with Grubb & Ellis since 1990 where he was consistently a top producer in the Walnut Creek office. Chris commented, “Colliers International provides an outstanding platform and veteran brokers that I can network with in the markets I work and beyond. I look forward to fulfilling my client’s needs and expectations under the Colliers International banner.”

“We’re fortunate to have two proven and successful brokers join our firm. Their expertise and work ethic is a good fit with our office and will benefit our company and clients,” says Phil Garrett, Managing Partner of Colliers’ Fairfield office.

The Fairfield announcement comes on the heels of the announcements of the Colliers’ San Jose, Sacramento, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton and Redwood City offices, which recently announced the addition of former Grubb & Ellis brokers.
