CBRE: Prime View Space in San Francisco Rents Approaching Previous Peak

The average effective rent for prime view space transactions in San Francisco was $81 per square foot in 2015, just a few dollars below the peak in 2000. However, the rent premium for prime view space versus non-view space in the Central Business District Class A buildings is at its lowest level in twelve years (13.4 percent), due to strong demand for non-view space from tech firms and value-conscious non-tech firms.
