Available sublease space in San Francisco increased significantly since November 2015, when a few large spaces were placed on the market. These additions have not yet impacted sublease vacancy, which over the past 12 months has remained generally stable at 1.0% due to strong sublease activity and absorption. Technology firms are currently subleasing 868,000 sq. ft. of space or about 50% of the total sublease availability, nearly the same proportion as 12 months ago.
