Chase Center Hires Charles Marino as Vice President of Security

Former United States Secret Service Bay Area Lead Joins Sports & Entertainment Venue Leadership Team

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Chase Center, the back-to-back NBA Champion Golden State Warriors new 18,064-seat privately financed sports and entertainment arena in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood, announced today it has hired Charles Marino as Vice President of Security. Marino will be responsible for all security aspects of Chase Center and the surrounding district reporting into Chase Center Chief Operating Officer Stephen Collins.

“The safety and security of our guests and fans is of upmost important to us and this hiring is a critical step in our effort to create the best fan experience possible for all guests at Chase Center and the surrounding district,” said Collins. “Charles’ experience and expertise will also help us to build and implement the right processes and strategy as it relates to our security operations as we look to open Chase Center in less than 10 months from now.”

Marino joins Chase Center most recently as a Partner at Opsec Alliance Partners where he served as the security expert and trusted advisor to companies, government clients and high net worth families delivering human capital, security training and strategic plans. In addition, Marino has worked with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policies, procedures, and programs, leading companies through complex DHS certification processes.

Marino began his career with the United State Secret Service where he spent 18 years, most notably serving on Presidential and Vice Presidential protection details, in addition to leading the San Francisco Field Office, overseeing criminal investigations and protection activities in Northern California. After departing the United States Secret Service, Marino served as the Senior Director of Protective Services for Oracle where he oversaw all security operations, policies, personnel, contract management and budgeting for their global Protective Services program. Marino also serves on several security panels in the San Francisco Bay Area and nationally, sharing best practices and expertise. He is a member of the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Museum Leadership Council in Washington, D.C. and received his graduate degree in National Security Strategy from the prestigious National War College.
