The Crain’s Chicago Business “2017 Best Places to Work” rankings are determined by a research methodology designed to gather data about the benefits, career paths and culture each company offers to employees. The process included a survey, filled out by more than 14,000 employees, which asked employees to answer questions about pay, promotion, workplace equality, benefits, culture and relationships with co-workers and management.
